Juanita "Jenny" Lopez

Juanita "Jenny" Lopez (nee Aguilar), age 81, of Portage, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on October 31, 1935. Jenny worked for the City of Gary and retired from the Government Complex after many years in the Auditors Department. She will be deeply missed by her family, and all those who knew her.

Jenny is survived by her fiancé, Dennis Gately; two sons, Charles "Tony" Lopez, Raoul (Marina) Lopez; two daughters, Linda Lopez, Rita Lopez; along with seven brothers; three sisters; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Jenny will take place Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Hobart, IN 46342 with Rev. Andrew J. Corona officiating.
