Juanita Tucker, age 100, passed away Friday, December 2,2022 at her home with her family. She was born June 29,1922 in Carmen, Manitoba Canada, to the late Sylvester F. and Jessie (nee Luttrell) Roach. On June 16,1943 Juanita J. Roach married the love of her life Robert F. Tucker in Salinas, California. She received a BA from Indiana University and was a Junior High School teacher at Gary Community school system for over 40 years.  Juanita was a member of New Life Community Church in Hobart. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise "Dee" Tucker; granddaughter, Nicole (Michael) Scheidt; great- grandson, Ethan Scheidt; great-great grandson Jaxon Scheidt; two brothers, James, and Gerald (Rosemary) Roach; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Tucker; her daughter, Darleen Tucker; her father, Sylvester Roach; her mother, Jessie Roach; sister, Mardelle Spiker, and her two brothers, Wayne, and John Roach.

A funeral service for Juanita will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery.
