Judith (Gonzalez) Carr, age 53, a resident of Hobart passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010. She was born on July 24, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Ismael and Celia Gonzalez. She was a graduate of Horace Mann High School Class of 1976. Judi was married to Gerald "Jerry" Carr, Jr. on August 11, 1990 in Crown Point. She worked for Arcelor Mittal Steel (Inland) and recently retired after 31 years of service. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and a friend to all.

Judi is survived by her loving family; husband Gerald L. "Jerry" Carr, Hobart, son Jason G. Tellado, daughter Celia G. Tellado, mother Celia Calderon (Flores) Gonzalez, Portage, sisters Madeline Cora, Brooklyn, NY, and Alicia Diaz, Queens, NY, brothers Noel Gonzalez, Merrillville, and Ismael Gonzalez, Jr., Miami, FL, and other loving family and dear friends. Judi was preceded in death by her father Ismael Gonzalez.

A visitation for Judith Carr will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service for Judith Carr will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Rees Funeral Home with Pastor John Starr, officiating.
