Judith E. Smith

Judith E. Smith, age 69, of the Portage area passed away Monday December 5, 2016 at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso. She was born May 17, 1947 in Henderson, KY to the late James and Barbara (McKee) Adams. Judith retired as a dispatcher from Two Sisters Trucking and Hooks Truck and Tire. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed working puzzles.

Judith is survived by three sons, James Adams of Portage, Steven (Amy) Smith of LaPorte and Edward Smith of Jeffersonville; six grandchildren, Chad Smith, Teresa (Bryant) Gurley, Stephanie Smith, Tara Adams, Tyler Smith and Brandon Smith; seven great grandchildren, Brielle, Taytumm, Zayden, Draven, Ryker, Audrey and Laney; two brothers, Richard (Eve) Adams and Bud (Mary) Adams both of FL; three sisters, Shiela Williams of Valparaiso, Doris (Willie) Perry of Portage and Anita Bryant of FL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandsons, Christopher, Steven and Timothy; and her sister, Bonnie.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday December 9, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 pm at the funeral home.
