Judy Ann Arend

Judy Ann Arend has gone to live with her heavenly Father. Born May 8, 1949, in Amboy, Illinois and went to her eternal home on March 8, 2024. Judy was born to Helen Lucile Arend.

She leaves her loving brothers Ronald (Kathy) Arend, Donald Arend; and her sister, Jean M. (Arend) Garcia; along with many nephews and nieces; Todd (Darcie) Arend, Kevin Arend, Rhonda Arend, Jennifer (Will) Arwood, Luanne (Juan) Grimaldo-Garcia, Chris Garcia, David Garcia and many loving second cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

Judy was very active in the Special Olympics and won quite a few medals. She enjoyed going to church on Sundays and loved Christian and Gospel hymns and always loved to hear them. While under the care of the Chicago Association House, she participated in celebrations such as Mardi Gras. She had many friends at her group homes and will be missed. Judy is going to be with her heavenly Father now and will be reunited with her loving mother. Born as an angel, she will be flying high with all the angels now. Fly high my sister. We love you.

Visitation for Judy will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
