Judy Lillian Mesarch

Judy Lillian Mesarch, nee Deal, age 86, a longtime resident of Hobart passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012. She was born on May 9, 1925 in Fairview, Tennessee, the daughter of Herman and Mabel Deal. Judy was married to Albert Mesarch on October 9, 1948 in Gary. Judy was a member of Saint Michael Byzantine Church in Merrillville. Judy had worked at Wonder Bread for 19 years until they closed in 1973. She had previously worked at H. Gordon and Son in Gary, at Oak Ridge Power Plant in Tennessee, and the Vultee Aircraft Plant. Judy was a master seamstress who loved to make many memories through her sewing for family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and a friend to all.

Judy will be missed by many and leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted son Mark Mesarch, Hobart, her loving niece Kelly (Harold) Merkner, Valparaiso, sister-in-law Alice Mesarch, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Mesarch, her brothers Bert, James, Clarence, and Lawrence, her sisters Velma, Nellie, Lorraine, and Agnes.

A visitation for Judy Mesarch will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home with Father Basil Hutsko, officiating. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
