Judy K. (nee Garrard) Perdue

Judy K. (nee Garrard) Perdue, age 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Powers Health Community Hospital. Judy was born on January 29, 1955, in Attalla, Alabama, to the late Vernon C. and Eula Mae (nee Garrard) Jones. She later built a life filled with family, friendship, and countless acts of kindness. Judy retired from Household Finance, where she worked as a loan officer. Judy was a loving sister and a truly caring person who had a heart bigger than words can describe. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or do something kind for someone in need. Her compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for the love and generosity she so freely gave to others. Judy had a special love for flowers and found joy in their beauty. She also adored her dogs, Ginger and Dottie, who preceded her in death and undoubtedly held a very special place in her heart.

Judy leaves behind her loving family; brothers, Charles (Sue) Garrard and Richard Lee Jones; her sisters, Barbara (Dave) Deyarmin and Ann (Anthony) Bowling; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other cherished family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Vernon C. Jones; mother, Eula Mae Jones; brother, William Garrard and sister-in-law, Bonnie Garrard.

Though Judy is no longer with us, the kindness she showed, the love she shared, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. A Celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date.
