Julia Zomanty

Julia Zomanty, age 78, of Hobart passed away suddenly in her home on Saturday June 2, 2018. She was born August 15, 1939 in Gary, Indiana.  She retired as production Manager for Packaging Corporation of America with over 30 years of service.  Julia was a true sports fanatic.  She loved all the Chicago Sports Franchises with the possible exception of the Chicago White Sox.  She would watch the Sox if the Cubs weren't playing.

Julia is survived by her three children, Tracy (David) Thompson of Hobart, Nicole Zomanty of Hobart and Christopher Zomanty of Hobart; three grandchildren, Jessica Ellis, Savannah Anguiano and Gwen Zomanty; one great grandson, Cameron Ellis; and many nieces and nephews.

Julia was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Zomanty; son, Peter Zomanty; granddaughter, Olivia Anguiano; and ten brothers and sisters.

A memorial visitation will be held celebrating Julia's life from 3:00-7:00 pm Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342.
