Junior Earl Burton

Junior E.  Burton, age 74, of Lake Station passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was born January 28,1948 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Frank Earl and Clara Ophelia Burton. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He retired from Union Tank where he worked as a welder and was a member of Local 374 boilermaker. He lived life to the fullest always the life of the party. He enjoyed family vacations, cooking, his motorcycle and was a jack of all trades.

Junior is survived by his three sisters, Janette Hogan, Emily (James) Dwyer, and Lila Martin; stepdaughter, Dana McGowin; bonus child, Rubin (Jennifer) Ketchem, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; fur baby, Mickey and many other loving family members and friends.

Junior was preceded in death by his loving wife, Debra Lynn Burton, son, Michael Burton, daughter, Paulette Graham and stepdaughter, Laurie Ketchem, grandson, Rubin Ketchem, III and his parents, Frank, and Clara Burton.

A funeral service for Junior will take place Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station.
