Justin Matthew Blanks, age 30, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on May 1, 2015. Justin was born on September 7, 1984 in Merrillville, Indiana. He was a lifelong resident of Valparaiso. He attended Vincennes University after graduating from Valparaiso High School in 2003.

Justin is survived by his mother and stepfather: Cynthia and Dennis Fidone; father: Randy Blanks; sister: Karlee Blanks; stepbrother: Christopher Fidone; grandmother: Josephine Collins; aunts: Sally Schlesinger, Earlene Young; uncles: Roger Blanks, Rick Blanks; cousins: Delaney and Charles Schlesinger, Rick and Greg Young, Danielle and Rick Blanks.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Donald Collins, Earl and Leoma Blanks; uncles: Jeremy Collins, Harold Young; cousin: Keith Young.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Rees Funeral home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, IN 46405. A memorial service to celebrate and remember the life of Justin will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 2610 N Campbell Street, Valparaiso, IN 46385 (directly across from Valparaiso High School).
