Justin Emilio Ramos, age 46, of Portage, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was born on August 14, 1972 in Gary, IN to Emilio & Athie Ramos. A lifelong area resident, he worked as an assistant manager at Lowes Home Improvement store in Michigan City. He was a huge Rolling Stones fans and was so excited to take his kids to see them in concert. He loved anything music. He also was a diehard Cubs fan. He loved his trips to Florida, no specific destination just as long as he could see palm trees. He was also very proud of his European heritage, half Greek, half Spanish. Justin will be remembered for his humor and his love for his children. He will be remembered as an amazing & loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and cousin.

Justin is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Jenny Ramos; son, Michael, daughter, Sophia; sisters, Karri (Jay) Zimny of Hobart, Jill Townsend of Highland; brother Bryan Ramos of Highland; mother-in-law, Liberty Braun; sister-in-law, Malissa Kanizar; brother-in-law, William (Olguita) Kanizar; aunt and uncles, Dean, Georgia, Linda & Ray & Tommy; lifelong best friend Jason Kontos; nieces and nephews, Brittnee, Dannielle, Kaylan, Marley, Ariana, Julia, Maximus, Martin, Caleb, Carson and Madison; cousins, Dawn, Danny, Melanie, Raymond and Allison; many other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Koreena Ramos, his uncle, his father-in-law and his grandparents. Memorial contributions can be made to his children.

Visitation for Justin will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. There will be additional visitation on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.until10:00 a.m. with a  Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of Our Savior, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, Indiana 46368.  For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
