Kara Jayne Wilder - Sullivan

Kara Jayne Wilder-Sullivan, age 56, a resident of South Bend passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011. She was born on August 18, 1954 in Gary, Indiana the daughter of Billy and Carole Wilder. Kara was a member of the 1972 graduating class of Portage High School and then earned her nursing degree from Purdue North Central. Kara worked as a registered nurse for the Family and Children Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. Kara adored her family and was strong and devoted in her faith.

Kara is survived by her loving family; daughter Julie (Christopher) Crider, South Bend, grandchildren Carolyn and Zachary Crider, mother Carole (Charles) Meitzler, Valparaiso, father Billy (Rita) Wilder, Appalachia, Virginia, sisters Coleen (Mike) Wilder, Valparaiso, Lynda (Don) Anderson, Valparaiso, and Cynthia (Keith) Reed, Valparaiso, and brothers Harry Waelde, Valparaiso, Jeff (Lily) Smith, Valparaiso, and Kevin (Stephanie) Lancaster, Indianapolis, and other loving family and dear friends.

A visitation for Kara Sullivan will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
