Karen L. Goggins (nee: Templeman), 69, of Portage passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born September 9, 1954, in Gary, Indiana to the late Carl Templeman and Ina Adkins.

Karen married her love, Ricky D. Goggins, Sr. on February 6, 1971, and together they raised two children, Ricky Jr. and Sandra.  She was a devoted wife and mother who lived to care for her family.

Karen is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ricky; children, Ricky Goggins, Jr., and Sandra (Brian) Adkins; grandson, Bobby Joe Kiderlan; and siblings, Roger Templeman and Patricia (Normand) Soucy.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her siblings Sandra Kall and Gary Templeman.

A private burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
