Karen Kauffman, age 68, of Hobart passed away Sunday February 1, 2026, at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Karen was born March 2, 1957, to the late Charles and Lorraine (Reidel) Andrews in New Eagle, Pennsylvania. She retired from Dave’s Auto Center where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed spending time at the Izaak Walton League and the Izaak Walton Yacht Club. She loved bowling and playing bunco.

Karen is survived by her loving husband, Bob Kauffman of Hobart; her four children, Junior (Debbie) Burgess of Hobart, Amber (Marcos) Erazo of Chesterton, Kristin (Jeremy) Maiden of Hammond, and Sara (Joah) Tinoco of Hobart; twelve grandchildren, Brittnee, Ashlee, Brandon, Avian, Emilee, Bella, Gabby, Lysette, Skyler, Brayden, Gavin, and Lenden; five great grandchildren, Carter, Delilah, Easton, Serenity, and Benjamin; a brother, Gary Andrews of Hobart; and several nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol Sue Andrews; and a brother, Charles Andrews, Jr..

Visitation for Karen will be held from 3-7 p.m. Thursday February 5, 2026, at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Mark Pflughoeft officiating. Her Funeral Service will follow immediately at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
