Kari Ann White

Kari Ann White, age 47, a longtime Portage resident, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025.  She was formerly of Hobart and Lake Station.  She was born on January 31, 1978, in Merrillville, Indiana.  Kari Ann's children and grandchildren were everything to her.

She is survived by her husband of over 24 years, Russell D. White of Portage, IN; four children, Jacob Lee (Jennifer Rivera) White of Dowagiac, MI; Samantha Rae (Tristen Johnson) White of Westville, IN; Savanna Rose (Kenya Nora) White of Merrillville, IN; Mackenna (Joshua Priester) White of Portage, IN; her parents Roger and Patricia Dunn of Portage, IN; adoptive father, Marty Stauffer; three brothers, Jim (Melissa) Stauffer of Portage, IN; Christopher Dunn of MD; Brandon Dunn of MD; two sisters, Subrina Ryan of AZ; Samantha Fournet of AZ; four grandchildren, Jace, Judah, Jasper, and Jaxxon, aunt, Linda Vann, father and mother-in-law, Russell L. and Gloria White of Demotte, IN; cousins, Taisha, Sherry, Bob Jr., Jill, Tom, Billy, and many more.

Funeral services are Monday, August 4, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.  Burial will follow at Blake Cemetery, Portage.  Visitation is Monday, August 4, 2025, just prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, Portage.  (219) 762-3013.
