KATHALENE E. CARSON, age 87, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. She was a born in Kenton, TN on January 7, 1927 and had been a resident of Lake Station since 1954. Kathalene was a member of First Baptist Church of Hobart. She enjoyed reading the Bible and loved her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Kathalene will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Cathy Carson of Lake Station; 2 sons, Kenneth (Patricia) Carson of Lake Station and Randall Carson of FL; 10 grandchildren including, Jason (Antionette) Carson and Melissa Carson; 1 great grandchild, Mackenzie Carson; 1 brother, Robert (Opal) Taylor of Knox; 1 sister, Joyce Stockton of Midland, MI; and other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Don W. Carson; her parents, Verdie and Robert Taylor.

A funeral service for Kathalene will be Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, IN with Rev. Richard Brown. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
