Katherine Rubin

Katherine L. Rubin, age 78 of Hobart, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Abe and Alice Rubin. She retired from Cook County Civic Center where she loved working as a deputy sheriff. She enjoyed doing things for her nieces and nephews and will always be remembered for the delicious cakes she baked.

She is survived by her sister, Theresa (Mike) Fox; nieces, Lisa (David) Ashcroft, Jennifer (Evan) Schultz, Victoria (Phil) Groce, Kelly (Cameron) Campbell; nephews, Steven (Gary) Linden, Brian (Sandy) Rubin, Phillip (Katelyn) Rubin, Kevin (TK) Fox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Alice Rubin; sister, Margaret Linden and brother, Bernie Rubin.

Per Katherine's wishes, there will be no attended services. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois.
