Kathleen K. Koontz (nee Fletcher), age 82, of Portage, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018. She was born April 12, 1935 in Toto, Indiana to the late Glen and Gladys Fletcher.  Kathleen was employed as a production worker for Orville Redenbacher for 24 years. Kathleen loved caring for everyone around her and she never asked for anything in return. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she especially enjoyed vacationing with her grandchildren at the lake.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Susan (Ronald) Bennett; grandchildren, Nate Bennett , Kelly (boyfriend, Jeff Clites) Bennett and Connor Bennett, Ashley (Nick) Pairitz; brother, Eugene Fletcher; sisters, Dorothy Underwood and Carol (Randy) Steffan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Koontz.

Per Kathleen's wishes, there will be no services. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at Hanna Cemetery.
