Kathleen J. Needs, age 78, passed away Thursday, November 7,2024. She was born on May 7, 1946, in Gary, Indiana to the late Aloysius F. and Laverne Ceclia (nee Lemanski) Ryba. Kathleen was a lifelong Portage resident, a devout Catholic and a member of Nativity of Our Savior Church.

Kathleen is survived by her two daughters, Valerie Sobczak and Candice (Brian) Luttman; five grandchildren, Summer Sobczak, Michael (Eryn) Sobczak and Alex (Leilani) Sobczak, Cody (Cynthia) Luttman and Cortney Luttman; three great grandchildren Ariella, Axel and Arlo Sobczak.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Andrew "Butch" Needs; her parents and brother, Dennis Ryba.

Per Kathleen wishes there will be no services held. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, and cremation services 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368 are entrusted with the cremation.
