Kathleen M. Silich Age 58, of Hobart, passed away at Regency Hospital in Portage. She was born on May 3, 1967, to the late Rudolph and Carole Silich in Hammond, Indiana. Kathleen was dedicated to her faith and attended Valparaiso Nazarene Church in Valparaiso. She was very artistic and enjoyed coloring, reading, and watching her favorite shows: Jeopardy, Entertainment Tonight, PBS cooking shows and spending time with her loved ones. She is survived by her partner, Dale Proffitt, brother, Rudolph P. Silich III; aunt, Katherine (nee Silich) Paulson; uncles John Rongers and Mark Rongers; cousins Edward Silich Jr., beloved Debbie (nee Silich) Brice, Gregory Bialata, Chirstopher Bialata, Michael Carrabine, Thomas Carrabine, Patrick Carrabine, Erin (nee Carrabine) Dunmam, John "Rob" Rongers, Ryan Rongers, Mark Rongers Jr., Perrin (Nee Rongers) Riley and Corey (nee Rongers) Girnus and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rudolph P. Silich Jr.; mother, Carole (nee Rongers) Silich; aunts, Phyllis (nee Silich) Bialata, and Mikell (nee Rongers) Carrabine and cousin, Antoinette "Toni" Silich.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 4:00 pm  at Rees Funeral Home 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. A memorial visitation will also be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
