Kathlene "Kitty" June Bishop-Truax, age 75, of Portage passed away Thursday March 9, 2022, at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born March 2, 1947, in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Raymond and June (Maderis) Tucker. She grew up in Glens Falls, New York prior to moving to the Portage area. She was the owner of her own Trucking Company. Kathlene was an avid Pool player and a Women of the Moose Member.

Kathlene is survived by her loving husband, Ray Truax; her four children, Leonard Bishop, Jr., Kelly Bishop (late Steve Bohren), Melissa (Robert) Bishop-Svihlik, and Erika Bishop; six grandchildren, Anthony (Amber)Bishop, Michael (Kassidy) Bishop, Orion Bohren, Cormac Bohren, Alexis Svihlik, and Hailee Svihlik; six great grandchildren, Adysen, Ariyanna, Avander, Axeton, Jaxon, and Atlas; two sisters, Joan Marie Dayton and Sheri Lee Bynum; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Maya Bishop; and her brother Raymond Lee Tucker, Jr.

Visitation for Kathlene will be conducted from 2-7 pm Wednesday March 16, 2022, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
