Kathryn M. Clark, age 93, of Portage passed away Saturday August 11, 2012 in the Golden Living Center, Fountainview Place in Portage. She was born February 17, 1919 in Pittsburg, KS to the late George and Edna (Hudson) Vanriette. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Griffith Chapter #735.
Kathryn is survived by two daughters Karla (Chris) Etchason of Valparaiso and Kathryn Baker of Clinton, TN; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several other extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell in 1987, daughter Karen Bennett, parents, George and Edna Vanriette, and one brother George Vanriette.
An Order of Eastern Star Memorial service will be 1pm Thursday August 16, 2012 Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, IN 46368. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
