Obituary

Kathryn Tovsen (nee Kucera), age 91 of Needville, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was born in Hazelhurst, Wisconsin on August 6, 1921 to the late Joseph and Lena Kucera. She was the Valedictorian at Minocqua High School, Class of 1938. After marrying Vern Tovsen on June 6, 1942, Vern left for service in WWII while Kathryn helped the war effort by building tanks at Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kathryn was employed as a Secretary for the Gary School System, retiring in 1989. Along with her husband, Vern Tovsen, she was the designer and developer of Nob Hill subdivision in Hobart, Indiana. She also owned and operated the Nob Hill Sewage Plant.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kay Tovsen and son-in-law, Dr. Philip Inderwiesen of Needville, TX; and numerous friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern N. Tovsen.
