Kathy Ray Gal, age 74, of Lake Station passed away Monday September 28, 2020 at her home.  Kathy was born September 27, 1946 in Gary, Indiana to the late Dale and Harlene (Kelly) Hooten.  Kathy was a homemaker and loving mother. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

Kathy is survived by her two loving sons, Jonathan (Michelle) Gal of Valparaiso and Joseph Gal of Lake Station; her three adoring granddaughters, Heather Mae Gal White, Haley Nicole Gal and Holly Ann Gal Maack; her eleven great grandchildren, Ryan Kingsley, Anthony Kingsley, Evan Kingsley, Layla Enyeart, Jaiden White, Hayden White, Kinley White, Luke White, Lil Johnny Maack, Madeline Maack and Izebella Michelle Maack; one sister, Kristy Turner; two nephews, Bruce Turner, II and Jacob Turner; a great nephew, Bruce Turner, III; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law, Renee Gal.

Visitation will be from 2-3 pm Monday, October 5, 2020 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Cremation will follow.
