Kathy Ann Trzepacz

Kathy Ann Trzepacz, 66, of Portage passed away June 3, 2024, at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago.  She was born September 25, 1957, in Watseka, Illinois to the late Norman Madison and Alice Carr.

Kathy grew up in Northwest Indiana and met Larry Trzepacz in 1976; they were married a year later in August of 1977 and together they raised three children.  Kathy was a consummate homemaker, taking pride in her home and family.  She loved sitting on her deck enjoying her yard or spending time inside working her vast array of puzzles.  She enjoyed cooking and planning for holidays to make them special.  Above all, Kathy adored her family and simply loved being with them.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Kathy's memory lives on with her husband of 47 years, Larry; children, David (Angel) Trzepacz, Jimmy (Erica) Trzepacz, and Kimberly Artist; grandchildren, Katlyn, Marissa, Cody, Austin, Faith, Lexi, and Jolene; nine great grandchildren, stepfather, Jim Carr; siblings, Michael (Melodie) Madison, and Debbie (Eddie) Estrada; and nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Parker, Misty, Stevie, ShyShy, and Chevy.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Madison and Alice Carr.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm - 7:00pm Monday, June 10, 2024 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368.  There will be no formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guardians of the Green Mile, PO BOX 182, Portage, IN 46368.
