Katie Mae (Burton) Buchfuehrer, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 90 at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana. She was born July 9, 1923 in Arkansas.
Katie is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Buchfuehrer and Harriet (Milton) Scheidt; 3 granddaughters Elizabeth(Blake) Frazier, Marcia (Jaime) Hernandez and Monica Scheidt; 3 great grandchildren Abigail, Samuel, and Molly, 1 sister Mary Jackson,1 sister-in-law Norma Collins, 1 brother-in-law James Buchfuehrer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis (Bud) Buchfuehrer in 1991 and an infant daughter.

Visitation will take place at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A special service presented by The Order of the Eastern Star, Hobart Chapter #314, will be at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Hobart Cemetery.
