Kelli Van Horn

Kelli Van Horn, age 60, of Hobart, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026. She was born on January 29, 1966, in Gary, Indiana, to Patricia (née Pope) Zdonek and the late Robert Zdonek.

Kelli cared deeply for her family. After the passing of her father, she moved in with her mother to help care for her and keep her company. She provided support and companionship, spending precious time with her mom when she needed it most.

Throughout her life, Kelli faced many challenges, including health struggles and numerous surgeries. Life brought her many ups and downs, but she remained a daughter, a mother, a sister, and a friend. Her family was an important part of her life, and the loss of her beloved daughter, Kylee, was a sorrow she carried with her.

Kelli is survived by her daughter, Toni “TJ” Riley; her sister, Karla (Sean Lynch) Zdonek; and her dear friend, Barb.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kylee Van Horn; her father, Robert Zdonek; and her two cherished dogs.

Per Kelli’s wishes, no services will be held.
