Kenneth L. Blickenstaff, age 71 of Gary passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023. He was born on February 28, 1952, in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Richard and Rosemary Blickenstaff. Ken attended Purdue University in his hometown of Lafayette and obtained a bachelor's degree in political science. He then went on to IUPUI where he obtained his juris doctorate. During his career he worked as a teacher, a lawyer, and a consultant. On October 23, 2010, he married Susan Blickenstaff at the Indiana Harbor Yacht Club. Ken's happiest times in life were spent on the beach, especially in Hawaii. He was an avid New York Yankees fan.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Blickenstaff; sons, David Blickenstaff, Kale (Tiffany) Blickenstaff, Kenneth (Jordan) Blickenstaff II, Kolton (Kahli) Blickenstaff; daughters, Lori Payne, Krystal Gallivan; stepson, Tom Moore; stepdaughter, Kelly Moore; 15 grandchildren; brother, Karl Blickenstaff; brother-in-law, Robert Clark; and of course, his beloved dogs, Gracie and Zena.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rosemary Blickenstaff; sisters, Linda Clark and Peg Winger.

Memorial visitation for Ken will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Aquatorium in Miller Beach, 6918 Oak Ave., Gary, IN 46403.  Memory sharing will take place at 7:00 pm.
