Kenneth George Gales, age 60 of Lake Station passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011. He was a longtime Lake Station resident. He retired from U.S. Steel after 32 years of service. Kenneth currently worked as a supervisor at Vesuvius. He enjoyed fishing, RV camping, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Kathy Gales (nee Page) of Lake Station, IN; 1 son, Shannon (Brandy) Gales of North Judson, IN; 1 daughter, Crystal Gales of Lake Station, IN; 1 grandson, Andrew Gales, mother-in-law, Florence Page of Lake Station, IN; 3 brother-in-laws, John (Christine) Page of Knox, IN; Tim (Cheryl) Page of Freedom, IN, and Michael (Kelly) Page of Nashville, IN; 2 sister-in-laws, Kimberly (Dan) Ellenberger of MS; and Susan (Mark) Kinser of PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Shirley Gales.

Funeral services are Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.
