Kenneth Lee Groves

Kenneth Lee Groves, age 90 of Lake Station passed away at home Wednesday, June 8, 2022. He was born on October 28, 1931 in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Alfred and Timmie Groves. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Ken retired from ISM where he worked as a security guard. He adored his family and really enjoyed family get-togethers and barbecues. He will always be remembered as a family man.

He is survived by his children, Linda (Tommy) Vaclavik, Rick Groves, Kathy (Preston) Johnson, Kimberly (fiancée, Lisa Piper) Groves; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and brother, Gene Groves.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ethel M. Groves; brothers, Carl Groves, Bill Groves, Bob Groves and Eddie Groves; and sister, Louise Carey.

Visitation for Ken will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Cremation to follow visitation.
