Age 89, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana. Kenneth was a retired U.S. Steel steelworker and proudly served his country in World War II in the United States Navy. Kenneth enjoyed Square Dancing in his younger years and has always enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his 6 sons; Gregory (Jo) Samplawski of Strickler, Arkansas, Jeffery Samplawski of Fayetteville Arkansas, Kenna Samplawski of Arizona, Bryan Samplawski Fayetteville, Arkansas, Daren Samplawski of Portage, and Joel Samplawski of Linclon, Arkansas, 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren 2 brothers; Lloyd Samplawski of Portage, and Terry Samplawski of Florida, 2 sisters; Carol Samplawski of Illinois, and Vivian Samplawski of Portage, many other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Julius and Pearl Samplawski, son; Loren Samplawski and brother; Gerald Samplawski and sister Darlene Samplawski. In lieu of flowers donations to World Wildlife Foundation would be appreciated.
A visitation for Kenneth will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana, 46368. Cremation will follow.
