Kenneth Walter Sprengel

Kenneth Walter Sprengel, age 84, of Portage passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Munster Med-Inn. He was born October 18, 1938, in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Walter and Florence (nee Johnson) Sprengel. Kenneth retired from the United State Customs and Immigration in Chicago where he worked as an accountant. He was an avid Cubs Fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Brenda) Sprengel and Mark Sprengel; grandson, Logan Sprengel; two nephews Will (Angie) Anderson, and Darren (Julie) Anderson; niece, Carolyn (Rich) Wymann and other loving family members and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol (Dick) Anderson.

Visitation will be from 11 am- 1 pm Friday April 28, 2023, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368. His Funeral Service will follow immediately at 1 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Angelcrest Cemetery in Valparaiso
