IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin Jay
Freeman
May 10, 1959 – December 20, 2024
KEVIN JAY FREEMAN, age 65, of Hobart, died unexpectedly Friday, December 20, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1959 to the late Bobby Neal and Rebecca Grace Freeman. Kevin was a 1977 graduate of River Forest High School, and went on to marry his sweetheart, Lori Castillo, on June 19, 1982. He worked for over 24 years at Gortrac (now Dynatech) and currently worked at Tri Eagle Provisions. Kevin was very charismatic, always smiling, and would light up a room when he walked in. He was known to help anyone and everyone, even going out of his way to give coworkers rides to work. Kevin was a jack of all trades, but was particularly skilled as an electrician and mechanic. He may be the only person capable of falling asleep during a Metallica concert. Kevin was a character who had nine lives and lived to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lori M. Freeman (nee Castillo); son, Joshua (Tara Cherry) Freeman; sister, Dianna (Ray) Perryman; brothers, Ronald (Naomi) Freeman, Samuel Freeman, and Steven Freeman; brother-in-law, Nicholas "Professor" Castillo; sister-in-law, Rebecca Castillo; nieces and nephews; grand dog, Bailey Rae; other loving family and dear friends.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Heridia; brother, Hugh Freeman; niece, Toni Gail Stanley; in-laws, Juan Jose and Irene Castillo.
