Kimberly Joy Finchum, age 53, of Portage passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 10, 2015. Kim was born June 12, 1962 in Gary, Indiana to Claude R. and Joy (Blake) Finchum. Kim has been on medical retirement and was a former restaurant employee that worked for many local restaurants. Kim was a 1981 graduate of Gary Wirt High School.

Kim is survived by her mother Joy (James) Conn of Portage; Fiancé David Pisarski of Portage; three brothers Garry (Dionn) Finchum of Lake Station, Brian (Doylene) Finchum of Murfreesboro, TN and Michael Finchum of Romeoville, IL; two nieces Lacey and Brittaney and one nephew Jason; and extended family Donna (Jerry) Cleek, Diana (Phil) LaMere and Dan Conn.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents Lloyd and Betty Blake, Lon and Lula Finchum, and uncle and aunt Bill and Marion Brown.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday December 15, 2015 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Minister Jerry Cleek officiating. Burial will follow in Blake Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
