Ladonna Sue Gabriel

LaDonna Sue Gabriel, age 75, of Hobart passed away Saturday May 27, 2023, at the VNA Hospice center in Valparaiso. LaDonna was born July 18, 1947, in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Lee Roy and Betty M. (May) Wood. She retired from the School City of Hobart where she served as the Cafeteria Manager at Joan Martin Elementary School for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hobart. She loved playing Bingo and crafting (Creating several memorable Christmas Ornaments.)

LaDonna is survived by her Husband, Vincent Gabriel; her son, Billy Ray (Anne) Ludwig of San Antonio, TX; her daughter, Shannon (Michel) Belmonte of Hobart; two stepsons, Vince (Missi) Gabriel, Jr. of Cedar Lake, and Charles (Courtney) Gabriel of Hobart; her eight grandchildren, Ryan Andrew Ludwig, Amber Elizabeth Ludwig, Alexis Lea (Todd) Snyder, Cody Gabriel, Kyle Gabriel, Stephanie (Zach) Hamm, Victoria Gabriel, and Aydan Gabriel; One great grandchild, Jaxon Hamm; her brother-in-law Bruce Luttinen; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Carol Luttinen.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Her Funeral Service will follow immediately at 1:00 pm with Rev. Leah Peksenak officiating. Entombment will follow in Graceland Mausoleum in Valparaiso.
