Larry W. Alcorn, age 63, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020. He was born on August 31, 1956 in Gary, Indiana to the late Louis and Marjorie Alcorn. Larry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He retired from US Steel where he worked in the iron auxiliary. He really enjoyed cars and cherished the time he spent with his son going to racetracks and car shows. He will always be remembered as a caring, loving father who would do anything for anyone in need.

He is survived by his son and best friend, Dustin (fiancée, Ashley Chylla) Alcorn; the mother of his son and close friend, Teressa Alcorn; brothers, Louis (Sue) Alcorn, Jr., Ron Alcorn; sister, Betty (Fred) D'Aloisio; numerous loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Alcorn; parents, Louis and Marjorie Alcorn; and one sister, Margaret Trainer.

Memorial contribution's in Larry's name may be made to Dustin Alcorn to help with the cost of funeral services.

A funeral service for Larry will take place Monday, January 27, 2020 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
