Larry Ballard, age 72, of Florida, formerly of Northwest, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 13th, 2022, in Lutz, Florida. Larry was born on June 30, 1949, to the late Orris Lafayette and Evelyn Lillian (nee MacLean) Ballard in Gary, IN. Larry was larger than life and will be missed greatly by his family and friends. We take solace in the fact that he will be in the presence of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Larry is survived by his two sons, Daniel (Danielle) Ballard of Alexandria, Virginia and David (Sara) Ballard of Austin, Texas; three daughters; Denise Ballard of Lutz, Florida, Dana Ballard of Tampa, Florida, Dolly (David) Grays of Land O Lakes, Florida; brother, Robert (Delana) Ballard of Rockford, Illinois; three sisters, Lynn (Bill) Plesha of Goodyear, Arizona, Lorraine (Mike) Goethe of Rockford, Illinois and Jessie (John) Dunlea of Machesney Park, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Alexander Barfield, Sean Barfield, Khaled Kazbour, Fay Kazbour, Andrew Ballard, Ruby Grays and Jack Ballard; one great grandchild, Rowan Barfield, and other loving family members and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (nee Kresnocky) Ballard, his parents: father, Orris L. Ballard Jr., mother, Evelyn L. Ballard and sister, Dollie Ballard.
A funeral service for Larry will be Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central, Portage, Indiana 46368. Burial at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana.
