Larry D Daily

Larry D. Daily, age 73, of Hobart passed away Sunday July 14, 2019 at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart.  Larry was born August 1, 1945 in Gary, Indiana to the late Earl E. and Lillian (Daugherty) Daily.  Larry was a retired machinist that worked for US Steel.    Larry was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the US Marine Corps.  He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps League Howlin Mad Detachment in Hobart, past Commander and member of VFW Post #9323 in Lake Station  and member of American Legion Post #260 in Portage.

Larry is survived by three daughters, Sabrina (John) Hackleman, Jr. of Portage, Cynthia (Ramon) Goode of Merrillville and Deborah (Epifanio) Cruz, Jr. of Lake Station; five brothers and sisters, Norma George of Lake Station, Florence Joan Hughes of Lake Station, Edward (Mary) Daily of Valparaiso, Michael (Patty) Daily of DeMotte and Donald Daily of Lake Station; five grandchildren John "J" Hackleman, III, Earl (Melissa) Currin, III, Ramona Goode, Elbryn Goode and Epi Cruz, III; four great grandchildren, Royell, Memphis, Selena and Ramona; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Earl Daily and Lillian (Joseph) Podgorny; his wife, Deborah Daily; and one brother Robert Daily.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Rees funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342.  Military Honor will be conducted at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
