Larry L. McKee, age 68 passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home. He was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on March 16, 1953 to the late Leroy and Ollie McKee. Larry was a 1971 graduate of Merrillville High School. On September 16, 1977, he married Phyllis Holt. He retired from US Steel where he worked as a roll grinder. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 1066. An avid outdoorsman, Larry was a proud member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with his grandkids.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis McKee; sons, Jeff (Christie Martin) McKee, Andrew (Christy) McKee; grandchildren, J.D., Luke, Keaton and Remy McKee; sister, Linda (Doug) Canada; brother, Paul McKee; brother-in-law, Bob Jordan; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Ollie McKee; and one sister, Charlotte Jordan.
