January 25, 1939 – May 21, 2018
Larry Levi Rogness, age 79 of Noblesville and formerly of Valparaiso passed away with his family at his side, Monday May 21, 2018 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. Larry was born January 25, 1939 in Waubay, South Dakota to the late Levi and Delores (Herold) Rogness. He was a Machinist that owned and operated Atlas Machine and Welding. He was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was a member of St. Paul's Men fellowship group. Larry loved spending time surrounded by his family, camping, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time on Lake Michigan. Larry was a veteran of the US Army.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marianne "Corkey" (Zieba) Rogness; four daughters, Cyndi (Diane Mills) Rogness of Valparaiso, Judy (Brian) Holmes of Longwood, FL, Marilyn Whitlock of Noblesville and Amy (Cameron Doddridge) Rogness of Noblesville; two grandchildren, Sara and Ryan Whitlock; and many dear friends and extended family members.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Marty Rogness; a sister, Bonnie Berg; and a granddaughter, Breanne Elizabeth.
A memorial mass will be conducted 5:00 pm Thursday May 24, 2018 with Rev. Benedict Okonkwo celebrating at Rees Funeral Homes, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
