Obituary

Larry Tucker, age 59, of Merrillville, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. He was born on November 30, 1958 in Gary, Indiana to Sidney and Tomoko Tucker. In his free time, Larry enjoyed visiting the Hobart Library and watching Svengoolie, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Brady Bunch and Minister Joel Osteen. In the summertime, he liked to go to the Hobart Dam Duck Race. Larry was a dedicated member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Hobart and especially enjoyed going to church every Sunday.

Larry is survived by his mother, Tomoko Tucker of Hobart; brothers, Donald Tucker of Hobart, John Tucker of Highland; sister-in-law, Pam Tucker; uncle, Edward Tucker; numerous other loving family members and friends; housemothers, Theresa Stanback and Monica Dempsey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Tucker; and one infant brother, Terry Tucker.

Memorial service for Larry will take place Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12:00 pm at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1360 S. State Street, Hobart with Pastor Kris Graunke officiating. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at the church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
