Laura M. Eaton-Cano, age 82 of Lake Station passed away Friday, June 19, 2015. She was born on December 21, 1932 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Russell and Caroline (nee Brumm) Shupe. Laura was a member of Hobart Moose Lodge Women's Chapter 249. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Norman Scott (Patricia) Eaton of Valparaiso; daughter, Vicki (Paul) Shear of Lake Station; three grandchildren, Jessica (Rick) Fahey, Loryn Eaton and Sarah Eaton; great- granddaughter Rhiannon Fahey; two sisters, Lilly and Barb both of Illinois; many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Andrew L. Cano.
A funeral service for Laura will be Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, (219) 942-2109.
