Laura "Kat" Kathleen Boyd

Laura Kathleen (Knight, Hopper, Kauffman) Boyd "Kat" , age 71, of Lake Station passed away Friday July 15, 2022 at her home. Kat was born September 29, 1950 in East Chicago, Indiana to the Late Nolan and Mary (Gordon) Knight. She was a machine operator at Allied Tubing Company in Harvey, Illinois. She will be deeply missed by her entire family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Boyd of Lake Station; four children, Eric Hopper, Mary Hopper-Wirick, Keri Hopper-Florez, and Tonia Boyd; grandchildren, Brian Knight, Timothy Hopper, Tony Hopper, Thomas Hopper, Kiera Hopper, Matthew Weeks, Laura Hopper, Jason Wirick, and Evan Wirick; great grandchildren, Isaak, Isaiah, Lydia, Lyla, Leon, Delilia, Roxy, Silas, Kayden, Lily, and Lena; three siblings, Todd (Melody) Knight, Pamela Magdos, and Darleen Ratliff; and several nieces and nephews.

Kat was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Russell Knight.

Private services are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel.
