Laurel L. Wielogorski, age 67 of Portage, IN, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015. She was born on December 26, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late S. David and June (nee Daniels) Lee. Laurel worked as an office Manager for Lynn Electric.
Laurel was an active member of Nativity of Our Savior, a Eucharistic Minister and very involved in the summer festivals, she also was a member of American Legion, Post 260. She loved going to Jimmy Buffet concerts and visiting Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. She was known as a happy, fun-loving person with an infectious personality. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend
Laurel is survived by her daughter LeeAnn (Dominic) Bonta of Portage; brother Larry (Debbie) Lee of Portage; sister, Janet (Tom) Frances of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Kailyn Gegin, Austin (Megan) Bonta, Ethan and Brandon Bonta; nieces and nephews, Alex Lee, Nick Kaminiski, David (Katie) Lee , Eric (Donna) Blake and Debbie (William) Abernathy, fury faithful companion Sally other loving family members and friends.
Laurel was preceded in death by her husband Joseph H. Wielogorski; son, Joseph A. Wielogorski, and her parents.
Memorial donations in Laurels honor may be made to Nativity of Our Savior School Endowment.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Nativity of Our Savior, 2949 Willowcreek Rd, Portage, with Rev. Andrew Corona officiating; with additional visitation from 9:00 until time of Mass burial will be held at Blake Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. with a 7:00 pm prayer service, also at Nativity of Our Savior Church, Portage (219) 762-3013 or online at www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
