Lauren Claire Kitchen, age 27, of Hebron passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday November 15, 2013. Lauren was born April 7, 1986 in Chicago, IL to Mark and Tricia Platt. Lauren was a stay at home mom that loved sports of all kinds, but loved caring for her family most of all. On November 17, 2012 Lauren married the love of her life Caleb Kitchen.

Lauren is survived by her loving husband Caleb and her adored son Blake Charles Kitchen both of Hebron; her parents Mark and Tricia Platt of Lake of the Four Seasons; her sister Jessica (Jason) Thomas of Munster; two brothers Sean Platt of Lake of the Four Seasons and Ryan Platt of Valparaiso; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. She was also the devoted aunt of Alysia and Jordan Thomas. Lauren will also be missed by Caleb's family, parents Rosa (Bert) Hiestand of South Bend; Michael (Denise) Kitchen of Lakes of the Four Seasons; sister Carissa Kitchen of Bloomington; brothers Casey Kitchen of Muncie and Michael Kitchen of Lakes of the Four Seasons.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday November 21, 2013 at the Fairmeadow Community Church, 1601 Fran Lin Parkway Munster, IN 46321 with Rev. Jeff Beckett officiating. Visitation will be from 1-9 pm Wednesday at the church. Memorial gifts are preferred to the National Autism Association of Northwest Indiana P.O. Box 216 Hobart, Indiana 46342.
