Laurene D. Mills

Laurene D. Mills age 94 a lifetime Hobart resident passed away passed away Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born on August 29, 1927 to the late Edward and Lea Owens.  She had worked for the salvation army before her retirement.  Laurene loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed poetry, crafts, and doing needle work projects.

She is survived by her children, Rob Mills, Ed Mills, Roger (Sandy) Mills, Jim Mills, one sister, Eileen, grandchildren, Joe Aldridge, Julie Tuttle, Bob Mills Jr., and Kim Zell, great grandchildren, Arron, Ashley, Dalannie, Sarah, Melanie, Christopher, and Breann.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Laurel Aldridge, one brother, Wayne, and one sister, Delores.

Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

A memorial service will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 1 pm  at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Leah Ruth Kensey officiating.
