Leann Rene Vargas, age 37 of Westville, Indiana passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Porter Regional Hospital. She was born on November 28, 1980 in Valparaiso, Indiana. She graduated from Edison High School in Lake Station. Leann enjoyed crafts, going for walks on the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her grandmother, Barbara Pierce of Westville, IN; her father, Jay Wilson, five sons, Antonio Vargas, Austin Vargas, Andrew Vargas, Ayden Tretter, Kyler Tretter, two aunts, Mary Ann "Mimi" Nimtz, Ronda Pierce, one uncle, Steven Pierce, special cousin, Jody Hopkins, many special dear friends, and aunts, uncles, and cousins, also many loving doctors and nurses at Porter Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Pierce, and her grandfather, Ronald "Pa Pa" Pierce.
