Lee Farley, age 75, of Hobart passed away Saturday October 27, 2012 at the St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. He was born August 18, 1937 in Harlan County Kentucky to the late Earin and Bertha (Kirk) Farley. He retired from the Ford Motors Chicago Heights Assembly Plant in 1973. He graduated from the Portage Adult Learning Center at the top of his class. He enjoyed building bird houses and grew the prettiest flowers in town. He was also an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Southlake Worship Center.
He is survived by his loving daughter Lavon Farley of Hobart; two sons Gregory Farley and Jimmy (Karol) Farley also of Hobart; two brothers Claude (Jonie) Farley of Portage and Charles Farley of Tennessee; two granddaughters Ashley and Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Angel (Wynn) Farley, son Leroy Junior Farley, parents and sister Judy Hampton.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday October 31, 2012 at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road with Pastor Samuel M. Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
