Leo A. Gumulauski
Age 94, of Gary passed away peacefully at St Anthony's Hospice Center on Monday, May 16, 2011. Leo married his late wife Mary T (nee Kapcak) on August 31, 1940 and was a retiree of Inland Steel. Leo was a jokester; he enjoyed eating Butterfingers, spending time with his family and his German Shepherd, Duke. Leo was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son; Leon J (Pat) Gumulauski of Lake Station, daughter; Rose (James) Bilas of Crown Point, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and foster grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary T (nee Kapcak) Gumulauski, daughter; Josephine Kinser, parents; John and Josephine (nee Kraukas) Gumulauski, 3 brothers; Alex, John and Vincent Gumulauski.
Funeral services are Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Dr. E.L"Lenny" Wisehart officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart. Visitation is Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
