Leo Hinkle, age 89, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Hamden, Missouri on September 28, 1928 to the late John and Scotia (nee Brown) Hinkle.   He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Mitchell, on September 2, 1949. He retired from Gary- Hobart Water Co. where he worked as a water meter repairman.  Leo was a past member of the Gary then Hobart Central Baptist Church and a present devoted member of the Eastlake Baptist Church in Crown Point, Indiana. He enjoyed his friends and family and his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his great-great grandchild.  He will be remembered as a loving; husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend he was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his daughter Diane (Allan) Frey of Hobart; four grandchildren Nate (Rendy) Fisher, Matthew (Sophia) Fisher, Jonathan (Leah) Frey and Christopher (Paola Uceda) Frey ; ten great grandchildren, Andy, Emily, Nathan, Grace, Troy, Theo, Titus, Tobin, Theia and Andrew; one great-great grandchild, Olivia and other loving family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Hinkle; daughter, Sharon (Thomas) Fisher; grandson, Andrew Frey; his parents; two brothers, Melvard Hinkle and Hadley Hinkle.

A funeral service for Leo will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at Eastlake Baptist Church, 7121 East Lincoln way Hwy, Crown Point, Indiana 46307 with Rev. Allan Frey officiating. There will be visitation prior to the service at the church from 9:00 until time of service.
